Tel Aviv is a coffee shop lover’s haven. Who doesn’t love the relaxing feeling of sitting down for a coffee with friends, pulling out a laptop, and getting some work down while sipping on a tasty drink? With a quaint, local café on almost every corner, Tel Aviv is a dream.
Since I started working as a freelancer, finding the best coffee shops has become almost a life goal. Personally, I tend to get a lot more done when I’m at a café. The busyness and the slight noise and the bustling streets keep me focused. And an iced coffee on a hot summer day in Tel Aviv? Couldn’t be any better. So here is my list of my favorite gems and go-to cafes to relax, work from, and enjoy. Oh and because it’s Tel Aviv (and everyone brings their dogs everywhere) all these cafes are dog friendly.
I’ve rated each one on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) in the categories of food, convenience to work from, and vibes.
1. Little Prince – King of Great Vibes
Perhaps my favorite coffee shop in all of Tel Aviv. It wins the award for best vibes and best place to work from. A cozy and quaint indoor area is lined from top to bottom with countless books, old and new, English, Hebrew, Russian. Piping hot coffee topped with a foam heart. The ideal location to spend a few hours working, chatting, or just relaxing. The outdoor area, built around a beautiful tall tree is also certainly not to be missed. Even more books line the outskirts as locals play games of sheshbesh (backgammon), shaded by the extensive foliage.

They have recently changed locations, so these photos are a bit dated. But the new location is a very similar vibe!

2. Nahat – Some of the Best Coffee in Tel Aviv
The number one coffee in Tel Aviv award goes to Nahat cafe. Located right on Dizengoff square, with a lovely view of the fountain, Nahat offers the best quality coffee in all Tel Aviv. Fairtrade, natural, organic, the flavors are unique and delicious. A relaxed vibe for workers, it has become a regular spot for me and my laptop.

6. WayCup Coffee – Fun Place to Work
If you go to WayCup Coffee ( they have two locations in Tel Aviv) you can rest assured that there will be plenty of other people working as well. I even had an interview here once! And you can rest assured that you’ll have great coffee as well as see a few friendly pupper faces.

7. We Like You Too – Fun and Casual
Trying to get a coffee on a Friday morning at We Like You Too can be a daunting task. The line is almost always backed up with a least twenty people. But I can assure you that it’s worth it. A local hotspot, this kiosk has two locations on Tel Aviv’s popular, tree-lined boulevards – Sderot Ben Tsiyon and Sderot Ben Gurion. A few tables are offered for the coffee-goers, but you’ll be lucky if you can get one. Most people prefer to casually relax on one of the many benches nearby or borrow one of their blankets to have a cute picnic on the grass.

Score
Food/Drinks – 7/10
Convenience to Work From – 5/10 (No Wi-Fi or chargers, tables are all outside)

8. Bucke – Amazing Vibes and Food
Bright and colorful decorations. Some of the yummiest food in Tel Aviv. Quaint nooks for laptop bearers….Bucke seems to have it all. They boast two locations in Tel Aviv, one in the center and another in the north, by Yarkon Park.

9. Timothy – Artisan Coffee Near the Yarkon
A small, unassuming little coffee shop on the northern tip of Tel Aviv (before the Yarkon), it’s the perfect stop on the way to the beautiful park. Artisan coffee and tasty goodies await.
They have recently added a whole new area just for people to work from, so it’s really a great place for coffee and working.

10. Under the Tree – 24/7 Vibin’

A unique array of vintage chairs covered with umbrellas to protect from the summer sun. A fully stocked bar….from shots to espresso. Nabi Yuna is the gem of Allenby street, with relaxed locals filling the tables and a worker’s paradise. Countless outlets and charging stations fill the colorfully decorated interior. The perfect stop for after the beach coffee or to spend the workday.

12. Cafelix – Local Favorite
With two locations, one in Florentine and the other on a tree-covered back road off Dizengoff, locals rave about the delicious coffee here. Every morning rows of faces hidden behind laptops work while sipping their special blend coffees. Serving only coffees and pastries, don’t expect a full menu of dishes!

Score
Food/Drinks – 7/10 (Locals rave about their coffee, but I was not that impressed)
Convenience to Work From – 8/10 (Very popular to work from, but also busy and small so difficult to find a place)

13. Lechem VeShut – Unmatched Pastries & Dishes
A long-time favorite of mine, Lechem VeShut never ceases to amaze. Delicious coffee, large seating area – indoors and outdoors, fresh bread, and yummy snacks. Try not to get distracted by all the goodies at the counter and take a look at their actual menu as well! It’s full of unique and tasty dishes like the best French Toast in Tel Aviv and a tasty Greek Pan.

Score

14. Puaa – Jaffa’s Finest
Vintage and retro furntiture combine with cute prints in this quirky and charming cafe. Walk just a few minutes to the colorful Jaffa Port, this location could not be any more ideal. Big umbrellas offer shade for the busy laptop workers while nibbling on the coffee shop’s goodies. One of the only places in Tel Aviv offering caramel coffee, be sure to give it a try!

18. Yom Tov – Artsy and Bustling
Just one road parallel to the beloved Shuk HaCarmel (Carmel Market), you’ll find this delightful oasis of tasty food and a fun atmosphere. The entire area of the Shuk is bustling, lively, and colorful. Yom Tov café is no exception! Whether you’re looking for some delicious food, to people watch, or to work….Yom Tov is a wonderful option.

19. Nordinyo – Pink and Playful
Fairly new in the cafe world, Nordinyo (actually a part of the Nordoy boutique hotel) opened a yummy cafe outside their iconic pink building on Nahalat Binyamin. Parisian vibes and relaxed outdoor seating make this the perfect chill spot in the center of the city. Be sure to try some of their unique goodies like rainbow cake or black & white cookies as they’re hard to find in Israel!

21. Kiosko – Working Haven in Florentine
A big cafe with a lot of seating, this is a GREAT spot to work in Tel Aviv’s Florentine neighborhood. It’s a nice, relaxed vibe where you order coffee and sit and work away.
Food/Drinks – 6/10

22. Pâte & Puff – Pastry Heaven
While this one may not be the best for actually working, it is worth a short work break just to enjoy the pastries and coffee while typing away a bit. It’s usually quite busy (because it’s delicious), but if you get a seat you can work from the tables easily.
Food/Drinks – 10/10
Convenience to Work From – 6/10
Vibes – 8/10
23. Edmund Coffee – Hostel Cafe
Located on the bottom floor of a hostel and in the more industrial area of Tel Aviv, this is a great place to work from and enjoy the atmosphere. Because it’s in the industrial zone you’ll likely see lots of other lunch-goers and people working.
Food/Drinks – 7/10
Convenience to Work From – 8/10
Vibes – 6/10
24. Lachmanina – Trendy and Delicious
Last but certainly not least, Lachmanina is an ultra-trendy bakery with two locations in Tel Aviv. Delicious coffee and even more delicious pastries (you have to try the chocolate halva delight), Lachmanina can’t be missed! Don’t forget to take a look at some of their local, handmade goods for sale indoors.
