Have you been to any Israeli beaches? The most well known are of course the Tel Aviv Beaches…which we absolutely love but…one of our favorites by far is Dor HaBonim Beach in northern Israel.

We had another early morning to capture the amazing landscapes before anyone else arrived (except the fisherman as they are practically a quintessential part of the scenery). We were a bit bummed when we woke up and realized it was pretty cloudy (something pretty unusual in Israel 🌞) but the clouds ended up being one of the most epic aspects of the photos.

Off the beaten path, strewn with fisherman and an abundance of seashells, and pretty quiet…this beach is definitely a gem. We ended up doing a short little hike between Dor Beach and Habonim Beach, about 3 km and only came across a few people. Of course, if it had been mid-day instead of early morning there would have been far far more, but still nothing compared to the beaches in the city.

It definitely took all of our power to resist jumping into the clear water, dress, sunhat, and, all. But it really was a bit too chilly for an early morning swim. The waters haven’t quite reached their cool summer temperatures and were still icy winter cold. I guess all the more reason to go back again 😉 but for now you can watch the video below.
Super cool location, amazing clouds, and beautiful sunrise. Didn’t think it could get any cooler did you? Well wait for it…this is actually the site of an ancient city and an ancient harbor dating back some 3500 years ago! The views are BREATHTAKING and they have found endless artifacts in this area including remains of ancient Egyptian vessels, anchors, and mosaic floors. 💙 For more superinterestingg facts about the park check out the link here.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Opposite the photo above is the Mediterranean sea and more rock formations (including a tall mushroom kind of rock that you can jump from into the sea). 🌊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In short… it’s an overall amazing spot to visit for both the beach lover and the history buff AND A MUST VISIT for tourists and locals in Israel.
